Plate
The procedure for forming plate from ingots is very exact and has evolved over the years to give superior finishing and polishing qualities.
We have a complete range of alloys with the following available ex-stock:
· We have developed specific alloys for specific applications. Please discuss your requirements with us so we can make the best recommendation.
· Sizes are totally flexible but our standard widths are 150mm for silver, 9ct & 18ct yellow and 100mm for all other alloys.
Despatch of non-standard sizes may not be “same-day”.
Formula to find the weight of a piece of plate:
Length x width x thickness x specific gravity.
Example: 18ct yellow plate 50mm x 30mm x 1.2mm
= 5.0 x 3.0 x .12 x 15.7 = 28.26gms
NB: Convert all measurements to cm.
